My name is Chef Mera, born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. I grew up surrounded by food and love. I started off helping my grandmother sell platters for years and promoting Maybelles kitchen, a family legacy passed down from one generation to the next. I decided to finally take cooking to the next level professionally, where i would then attend Culinary School, obtaining my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, during my time in Culinary School I was presented with the opportunity of gaining experience while perfecting my craft working at Walt Disney World. currently I offer a variety of services such as my Private Chef Experience, Catering Services or if you’re in need of one of my Meal Prep plans, I have you covered every step of the way! I look forward in creating a memorable experience for you and your loved ones.

WHERE DID IT ALL START ?

I STARTED OFF WITH cooking SOUTHERN RECIPES, ONE OF MY MOST FAVORITE CUISINES OF ALL TIME, OF COURSE. MY FAMILY WAS BORN AND RAISED FROM DOWN SOUTH SO I UNDERSTAND THE DEFINITION OF SOUTHERN CUISINE VERY WELL,. Watching my grandmother cook meals to feed over 10 people on a daily basis truly inspires me. I RELATE TO THE LOVE THAT YOU PUT INTO YOUR FOOD. I planned a dinner with Chef Mera for my wife’s birthday. Prior to the date chef communicated the menu and we discussed the desired out come, and time for dinner. I had no doubt through our conversation that Chef Mera was a true professional and would make sure my wife’s birthday was an experience to remember. On the day of Chef Mera showed up on time and was easy to engage with making my wife and I very comfortable. As she prepared our meal she explained the ingredients and told us about her culinary journey. My wife had a great time and that’s all credit to Chef Mera’s amazing customer service and ability to curate an intimate culinary experience. We would highly recommend Chef Mera for anyone looking for a private chef.
